The appearance of enteral formulas, the development of equipment (pumps) for the infusion of these liquid foods and the various devices (probes or tubes) to make possible the feeding by exception routes, have made these techniques a sophisticated tool that requires a lot of experience and a consolidated team.

More than 15 years ago there was an increase in the requirement to perform Nutritional Support at home. Qualified companies and trained professionals are needed to carry out these techniques in order to reduce hospitalization costs.
